Dover Baseball offers recreational baseball for boys ang girls of all abilities for ages 4 – 16. Dover Baseball requires players to play in the proper age division.
TEEBALL – AGES 4/5
- Players with a birthday between 5/1/2018 and 4/30/2020
- Cost - $75, multiplayer discount of $50 for players 2, 3, 4, etc.
- 1 weekday practice and 1 game on Saturday morning
- Season – mid-April to mid-June (no league playoffs)
- Fields: Garrison and Morningside
- Coach Pitch – safety balls used
INSTRUCTIONAL – AGES 5/6
- Players with a birthday between 5/1/2017 and 4/30/2019
- Cost - $85 plus $50 in cash calendars – players keeps proceeds from cash calendars, multiplayer discount of $50 for players 2, 3, 4, etc.
- 1 weekday practice, 2 games (1 weekday and 1 Saturday)
- Season – mid-April to mid-June (no league playoffs)
- Fields: Garrison and Maglaras
- Coach Pitch – safety balls used
CAL RIPKEN ROOKIE – AGES 7/8
- Players with a birthday between 5/1/2015 and 4/30/2017
- Cost - $110 plus $50 in cash calendars – players keeps proceeds from cash calendars, multiplayer discount of $50 for players 2, 3, 4, etc.
- 1 weekday practice, 2 games (1 weekday and 1 Saturday)
- Season – early-April to mid-June (league playoffs)
- Fields: Horne
- Combination Coach and Player Pitch – hard balls used
CAL RIPKEN MINORS – AGES 9/10
- Players with a birthday between 5/1/2013 and 4/30/2015
- Cost - $135 plus $50 in cash calendars – players keep proceeds from cash calendars, multiplayer discount of $50 for players 2, 3, 4, etc.
- 1 weekday practice, 2 -3 games (Monday- Saturday)
- Season – mid-April to mid-June (no league playoffs)
- Fields: Beckwith and Sullivan
- Player Pitch – hard balls used
- Players have the option to tryout for all-star and tournament teams that play in tournaments against other towns mid-June through end of July.
CAL RIPKEN MAJORS – AGES 11/12
- Players with a birthday between 5/1/2011 and 4/30/2013
- Cost - $135 plus $50 in cash calendars – players keep proceeds from cash calendars, multiplayer discount of $50 for players 2, 3, 4, etc.
- 1 weekday practice, 3 games (Monday- Saturday)
- Season – early-April to mid-June (league playoffs)
- Fields: Keays and Sullivan
- Player Pitch – hard balls used
- Players have the option to tryout for all-star and tournament teams that play in tournaments against other towns mid-June through end of July.
BABE RUTH – AGES 13-16
- Players with a birthday between 5/1/2007 and 4/30/2011
- Cost - $145 plus $50 in cash calendars – players keep proceeds from cash calendars, multiplayer discount of $50 for players 2, 3, 4, etc.
- 1 weekday practice, 2 -3 games (Monday- Saturday)
- Season – early May to mid-June (no league playoffs)
- League includes teams from Oyster River, Rochester and Somersworth
- Fields: Woodman, Dunaway, and surrounding towns
- Player Pitch – hard balls used
- Players have the option to tryout for all-star and tournament teams that play in tournaments against other towns mid-June through end of July.
