To Parents, Volunteers, Coaches and Players,

Welcome to Dover Baseball's 2021 season!  We are expecting to manage approximately 500 players and over 45 teams from tee ball up through Babe Ruth (ages 4-15) within our league this year.  The objective of our league is to teach the game of baseball and to instill in our children the ideals of good sportsmanship, honesty, loyalty, courage, and respect for authority. This will help guide their growth into good, decent, healthy, and trustworthy citizens.

We are committed to providing a safe environment and take our Code of Conduct very seriously; no alcohol, no drugs, no tobacco, no weapons and no poor sportsmanship. Thank you for your participation!

Fundraising/Volunteering:

Since player fees and business sponsorships account for only half of the revenue needed to operate the league, the league can only survive with full participation by parents and players in our fundraising campaigns.  The following is needed from each parent/player:

Calendar Sales - Each family is required to purchase 10 cash calendars at time of registration. This helps keep league costs down and accountability for each calendar given. Calendars can then be sold for $5.00 each by registering families to recoup calendar costs paid at time of registration. Drawings will be made for the first 26 days in June. Family’s that sell their cash calendars to recoup costs would also be responsible to disperse any winnings from Dover Baseball to said calendar holder.

Tagging - weekend of tagging TBD-Only players at the 8-year-old Small Minor Division and 9/10-year-old Cal Ripken Minor Division are required to participate in tagging.   Each CR Minor player (9/10's) will fill one 2-hour shift per day for Friday/SaturdaySmall Minor players (8's) will fill one 2-hour shift on Saturday only.  Players will meet at Beckwith/Keays concession stand to receive their location assignment and can to collect donations.  Players will be paired up at each location.  Parents should stay with their player to supervise.  Players may opt out of Tag Day with a $45 donation per shift.

Concession Duty - Families of players at the 8-year-old Small Minor Division and all ages up through Babe Ruth shall participate in concession duty.  Each coach or team parent will put out a schedule for your participation during your assigned games or week.  If each family participates, it usually equates to 2-3 turns each.
