More Updates

Good morning,

I had 3 quick things.

1. I have the kids jerseys and will be at Beckwith Monday and Tuesday to hand them out at your games.  I hope to verify the right size, number, and spelling with you by Wednesday to have any corrections done.  For those of you on Collins with me, we currently have a practice Monday night on the books and I might use that to get them to you by Wednesday.

2. I put a practice on the schedule for a week from today, I hope to use it as a meet and greet and hopefully workout how we will fit as a team, I will add more and try to get some other things scheduled from there.

3. I put the cost of the team out there, it is $105 to cover the jerseys, tournament itself, and other misc items.

Quick Update
by posted 08/05/2020

Good afternoon,

I wanted to send a quick update that we will try to meet for a practice ones the 9/10's season ends which should be next week.  I was hoping to try to snag a field next weekend(15th/16th) to have a practice and introduction.  From there we will plan out how we prepare for the Kittredge for the weekend of August starting Thursday the 27th and running to Sunday the 30th.  The uniforms have been ordered and I will update everyone once they come in.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Welcome to the Tournament Team
by posted 07/28/2020

First off I would like to thank everyone for your interest in playing on this team.  When the year started in January I was very excited to put this together and I think like a lot of things the current pandemic has changed everything and has made it more difficult, but still we move forward.

I know this is a commitment at some level and I want to be fair to everyone and set the expectations.  Originally I wanted to carry 13-15 kids to be able to deal with vacation days and other reasons for kids to miss games.  When I found out about Summer Slam 2020 in Newburyport I was hoping the excitment of the tournament would drive more people and it did.  One thing that backfired on Monday was some more kids than I expected made the 10u All Star team, I assumed 3 might make it, but not all 5 or 6 of them who were holding out.

To that end I will get to the point, We can go play Summer Slam with the 11 kids we have, the dates are below, if I can only carry 9 to the games it makes no sense and I think we can fill the time with scrimmages against Dover and other towns and prep for the Kittredge for the weekend of August starting Thursday the 27th and running to Sunday the 30th.  That will get us I believe 4 games to play outside of whatever else comes our way for scrimmages and practice.

Please reach out to me if you have questions or concerns, entering 1 tournament instead of 2 will be cheaper and I think better for most people based on what I heard.  We will practice and be engaged after our house season ends, and I hope to make it as fun as possible.  If your kid missed chances to pitch this season they are in luck because I am going to need them, so this will be fun and a great way to play a lot more and get some real competitive experience win, lose, or rain.

I will try to see if I can get some generic jerseys and hats to see if we get additional kids who think differently of it, but not sure.
